Training, Qualifications & Experience
I trained as a Humanistic Psychotherapist at HOMA, completing 744 hours of face-to-face training. I am also a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in human resources, supporting organisations to nurture talent, foster growth, and create workplaces where colleagues feel engaged and supported. During that time, I completed an ICF accredited Diploma in Coaching.
I also took time out of paid employment to raise my children, a period that deepened my understanding of the importance of self-parenting; the practice of tending to my own emotional needs while caring for others. This experience has profoundly influenced my approach to therapy, highlighting the necessity of self-compassion and conscious parenting in breaking generational patterns and fostering healing.
I value being a visible and accountable therapist. I engage in regular supervision and ongoing personal and professional development, continually deepening my skills and understanding to provide thoughtful, attentive support for those I work with.
“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued: when you can give and receive without judgment: and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship”
— Brene Brown
